What is LIV Vibrotherapy?

Low-Intensity Vibration (LIV) therapy employs precisely calibrated mechanical signals that are several orders of magnitude gentler than traditional exercise, yet powerfully effective at the cellular level.

Born from space medicine research, LIV uses low-amplitude (<0.5g), high-frequency (30-120 Hz) vibrations to activate mechanotransduction pathways in bones, muscles, nerves, and other tissues.

Research Inclusion Criteria

We collect studies using various nomenclatures—LIV, LMHFV, r-fMV, VibroAcoustic Therapy—provided they maintain therapeutic vibration parameters. What matters isn’t the terminology, but the actual signal characteristics.

LIV Parameters in Research

  • Amplitude: <0.5g acceleration
  • Frequency: 30-120 Hz
  • Duration: 10-20 minutes daily
  • Safety: Zero serious adverse events
